Health innovation is experiencing a decisive global moment. Today, industries ranging from biotechnology to medical devices and digital platforms face a surging demand for solutions that deliver efficiency, scalability, and real-world impact. In this context, Latin America is stepping up as a source of disruptive technologies — and Chile, in particular, is proving that local talent can create solutions with global potential.

ProChile, the institution of Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs that promotes the country’s goods and services abroad, has witnessed firsthand how these solutions are resonating in markets like the United States, especially in Miami, now a leading hemispheric hub for innovation.

Chile’s growing health innovation ecosystem

Chile has built a distinctive and growing health tech ecosystem that merges entrepreneurship, scientific knowledge, and public-private collaboration. Start-Up Chile — the world’s first public accelerator — set the foundation by attracting global talent. Today, more specialised platforms such as Start-Up Labs and Patagonia Biotech are accelerating science-based companies from Chile, with a focus on the major healthcare challenges of the 21st century.

A network of universities, research centers, and public institutions is creating fertile ground for startups in digital health, advanced diagnostics, personalised medicine, and medical devices to emerge and scale. The result is a new generation of companies striving to grow with purpose and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

From local to global: connecting with the world from Miami

The leap from local to global markets is no small feat. That’s why ProChile’s commercial office in Miami is actively working to support Chilean companies in their internationalization process. Our efforts focus on building networks, creating visibility opportunities, and facilitating partnerships with key players in the U.S. ecosystem.

In this new edition of WHX Miami, Chile is represented by Eniax, a company specializing in patient management automation solutions, with operations in Europe and the United States. Eniax will showcase its cutting-edge patient management solutions and compete in the pitch event —highlighting Chile’s growing influence on the global health tech stage. WHX Miami has become a key platform for showcasing the value proposition of our health technologies in a highly competitive and connected environment.

Another example of the Chile-U.S. connection is the participation of Chilean companies in initiatives such as the Tampa Bay Wave HealthTech|X Accelerator, where two Chilean companies have been selected for the upcoming program. We also celebrate the recent collaboration of two Chilean companies with Mayo Clinic, a global leader in medical innovation. These milestones highlight the potential of Chilean innovation when strategically connected with global hubs like Florida.

Strategic platforms for global growth

Participating in fairs and competitions is just one of the many tools we employ, and that’s why ProChile is committed to a sustained agenda of support for Chilean tech companies. We offer our GoGlobal softlanding program, now in its sixth edition, Edtech Mission 2025, and we were active participants in eMerge Americas this past March, with 17 Chilean companies exhibiting—many of which already have a presence in the market.

We are also organizing the Chile Tech Tour 2025 – Connecting Chile & U.S. Innovation, a flagship event to be held this October in four U.S. cities. It aims to connect Chilean tech-based companies with the corporate world, public sector, academia, accelerators, investment funds, and more—reinforcing our long-term commitment to the internationalization of innovation.

Miami is no longer just a gateway to Latin America. Today, it is a true innovation hub, where investors, medical centers, universities, and accelerators converge. Its positioning as the entry point to the U.S. for health tech companies has attracted global players — and Chile is part of that conversation.

At ProChile, our mission is to connect talent with opportunities, ideas with funding, and solutions with concrete market needs. In health, this mission is especially meaningful: we’re talking about technologies that can transform the quality of life for millions of people.

From Chile, we are building health solutions with global impact. And from Miami, we continue working to ensure those solutions reach the places where they’re needed most. Because we believe that innovation has no borders when it serves human well-being.
